Job Description

We are interested in adding a self-driven scientist with a demonstrated desire for both scientific and personal growth to our R&D team. The ideal candidate will be expected to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace and be able to tackle new and exciting challenges as we continue to develop our product pipeline. We are interested in a scientist who exhibits self-motivation and independence yet is collaborative, with the ability to interact and communicate results across company departments.

Responsibilities:

• Take a leading role in developing novel cell therapies in a world-class laboratory setting

• End-to-end ex vivo CAR-T cell manufacture through gammaretroviral production, PBMC isolation, T cell enrichment, transduction, expansion, and harvest.

• Characterization of T cells using spectral flow cytometry and in vitro cytotoxicity assays

• Ensure timely turnaround of high-quality data to drive company goals

• Critical data analyses, attention to detail, and troubleshooting abilities

• Translate experimental data into meaningful insights and present results internally at department and company meetings

• Understand and incorporate company strategic goals into research strategy

• Serve as a mentor to junior staff

• Maintain up-to-date experiment records using an ELN

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, or a related field.

• Hands on in the CAR-T cell therapy field, including generation of CAR-T cells from primary cells and functional characterization (phenotyping, killing assays, cytokine expression). Experience with in vivo validation is a plus.

• A working understanding of the tumor microenvironment is a plus.

• Experience with flow cytometry, experience with spectral flow cytometry highly preferred

• Strong organizational and time management skills to drive multiple projects

• Strong written/verbal communication skills

• Adaptability, accountability, and ownership
