Job Description
We are interested in adding a self-driven scientist with a demonstrated desire for both scientific and personal growth to our R&D team. The ideal candidate will be expected to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace and be able to tackle new and exciting challenges as we continue to develop our product pipeline. We are interested in a scientist who exhibits self-motivation and independence yet is collaborative, with the ability to interact and communicate results across company departments.
Responsibilities:
Take a leading role in developing novel cell therapies in a world-class laboratory setting
End-to-end ex vivo CAR-T cell manufacture through gammaretroviral production, PBMC isolation, T cell enrichment, transduction, expansion, and harvest.
Characterization of T cells using spectral flow cytometry and in vitro cytotoxicity assays
Ensure timely turnaround of high-quality data to drive company goals
Critical data analyses, attention to detail, and troubleshooting abilities
Translate experimental data into meaningful insights and present results internally at department and company meetings
Understand and incorporate company strategic goals into research strategy
Serve as a mentor to junior staff
Maintain up-to-date experiment records using an ELN
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, or a related field.
Hands on in the CAR-T cell therapy field, including generation of CAR-T cells from primary cells and functional characterization (phenotyping, killing assays, cytokine expression). Experience with in vivo validation is a plus.
A working understanding of the tumor microenvironment is a plus.
Experience with flow cytometry, experience with spectral flow cytometry highly preferred
Strong organizational and time management skills to drive multiple projects
Strong written/verbal communication skills
Adaptability, accountability, and ownership
