Called the Advanced Research and Technology (ART) center, the department will be made up of leading researchers and engineers who will investigate emerging medical therapies and technologies to fuel new product development and commercialization. The center will be lead by Senior Vice President David J. McQuillan, a 10-year-veteran of KCI who holds a doctorate in biochemistry and previously served on the faculty of the Institute of Biosciences and Technology, Texas A&M Health Science Center in Houston.

“KCI has an enviable history of developing products that offer differentiation and deliver great patient outcomes,” McQuillan says. “The Advanced Research and Technology center will ensure we have the right technologies to sustain robust product offerings and maintain our industry leadership.”
